...and most of the time some people will shake their
head in disbelief or scratch their head in confusion,
and even start counting to one thousand to control
their anger. This is one from the latter category...

On October 20, 2004 he said this, excerpted from
one of local papers in Indonesia...

The Jakarta daily Sinar Harapan (Voice of Hope) this week quoted
Jusuf saying he was considering changes on lending polices that
would lower the interest rates on loans to a group overwhelmingly
comprised (by his own admission up to 95%) of indigenous Indonesian
businessmen. Jusuf claims that the policy will level the business
playing field and reduce the amount of discrimination directed at
the nation's tiny ethnic Chinese community.

When asked whether the policy was discriminatory, he replied:
"Would you (Indonesian Chinese) choose to be discriminated
against or you prefer to be burned out and hunted down?
"

This is article number one...., more is coming up, and BTW, they'll
be more recent too...

P.S. This thread is about the president to-be
Mr. Jusuf [my-moustache-looks-like-hitler's] Kalla
comments, just to prove that this clown suffers
from a foot-in-a-mouth disease...

He is known for being anti chinese and anti christian (though he hates the chinese more..)
he was here not so long ago, held a dialog with the indo community in brussels and wont answer serious questions from the people. he would always answer jokingly.. he is full of crap..
really hope that he wont be the next president.. if he does, than indonesia would certainly go a gazillion years back in time..
he is a businessman, not at all interested in the welfare of the indo people, only thing he cares for is to pile up a massive amount of cash for his family and hunt down chinese n' make 'em poor...
I seriously think this guy has serious issues..

Like his old master of all intrigues and corruptions,
one of Golkar's presidential hopeful, Jusuf Kalla
is again in the middle of another collusion/corruption
scandal. This time trhe scandal is called "Jusuf Kalla
and his dozen helicopters".

Like bunch of idiots, these golkar people keep continuing
their known "modus operand", making money while still at
the top. Just like the master, the now defunct suharto, mr
Kalla is just following his own instinct, making money, lots
of money, while most indonesians can't even afford clean
water let alone food for their survival.

Yup. MR, my-moustache-look's-like-Hitler's Kalla and one of
his family owned coimpany Bukaka try a sleight of hand, and
in the process of getting a dozen used choppers from Germany,
they almost burn the country's pocket to the tune of trillions of
Rupiahs. Ooops, they got caught!!! Mr. Vice Presiden got caught
with his pants down.... icon_redface.gif

Me think, something must have worked somewhere that this thing
is out in the open this early. OR, prolly, Mr. Kalla and his cronies
just didn't bribe enough Custom officials. God knows....

I think Jusuf Kalla is not such an "idiot", he just have little flair in public speaking. Remember, he is the one who chaired the Malino Peace Agreements I and II that ended the Poso and Ambon conflicts. He is also the one who helped negotiate the surrender of GAM rebels in Helsinki in 2005.

What he was trying to say is that the racial problems faced by Chinese-Indonesians in the past is due to economic disparity with the native population, hence he is proposing that the govt should give more incentives to help more native Indonesians to become just like him: a native conglomerate who can compete with ethnic-Chinese conglomerates.

About race problems, Chinese-Indonesians has nothing to worry about. A recent survey by Media Indonesia Group found only 0.4% of respondents dislike ethnic-Chinese people, which is below those who dislike Hindus (0.5%).

The most hated group in Indonesia remained the communists, with 63% of the respondents saying they intensely dislike communism. USA and Jews came at a distant second and third position with 6% and 5% hating these two groups, respectively.

^ Agree..JK has indeed lil flair in public speaking..that's what all journalists always wait for, every week. But race issue is not a big prob anymore in indonesia.

Another day another idiocy, by the leader of the most corrupt political in the country, mr foot-in-the mouth
kalla, he said this amidst his unplanned visit to victims of yet another armed forces brutality with its
deflected-bullets defense. Gee, they used the same defense in both Tanjung Priok and Semanggi incidents.
Can they come up with something more original, like we're just a bunch of corrupt and inept army that
can only shoot innocent civilians. Guess, whose first to arrive in Meulaboh and Tapak Tuan for aiding the
locals after tsunami struck, gee..., I didn't see a single indonesian army there. What an inept, stupid
and moronic army this is.

Anyhow this is what he said in front of local Pasuruan people at the hospital:
====He thought this incident showed how limited the land that's available for people who need it. Because of
====this, there is not anything that we can do except for increasing the agricultural productivity and limiting
====the birth rate.

Gee, mr idiot..., so the only way to prevent this from happening is by making farmers work harder and
controlling births. So, it's not the fault of the military, but it's the fault of the people. I thought it's
the army who has all the munitions and guns. Why don't they just point those guns to their own heads
and blow their own heads, just to show that they have no brains in them.

Once an idiot..., continue to be an idiot...

This is the best that golkar, the most corrupt political machine in the country for thirty years, still going
strong after all these years of moronic existence, can actually offer at this time: Mr. Kalla, the most
idiotic, not to mentioned corrupt political figure right now.

The track record is not very good for this "political" party:
-the hell bound suharto, the architect of the slaughtering of 1 million people in 1965 "communist" purge,
the 1980-1998 Aceh military operation, the 1977 -1998 oppression of East Timorese, the 1967-1998
oppression of papuan people. If anything this bastard will reside at the bottomest pit of hell, as its firewood.
A coward who claimed he's had no money...yeah right like we believe this devil incarnate will go to heaven.

-akbar tanjung, the previous chairman, master corruptor, stole the money from the public coffer to fund
golkar party's election campaign. The strangest thing is: he returned the money [admitting his fault ofcourse,
what else returning the money means, really?], and he was released from prison, and not only that his
golkar party got to keep all the seats it won, even though it was funded by stolen money. Only in Indonesia.
If I were a judge, I would not only nullify all the seats, I'd disqualify and possibly disband this ghost from
indonesia's broken past. In the process opening the way for a more fair election.
