historically, it is very hard to find filipino surnames that begin with the letter I because classical spanish orthography states that words beginning with an 'i' sound sohuld be written with the letter 'y'. currently this is only kept in one word. that of course being the word 'y' itself.

anyways.

Ibáñez. although i bet Ybáñez is more common in the philippines.
