Fake. All but bunch of fake punches and fake stomps with acting. You do realize Japanese pro wrestling is just a ripped off version of WWE?

Learn to read, idiot. I never said WWE is a sport did I? New japan pro wrestling or whatever you want to call it, it's a fake. And who's "we"? fu-king wapanese... all pro wrestlings are more acting than actual fighting. At least, old days of ECW was more entertaining to watch compared to fake soap-opera call WWE. No wonder WWE washed out wrestlers like Goldberg and Tom Howard comes to japan to continue their fake wrestling career.

That applies same to japanese pro wrestling.

Does it matter? They are both fake. WWE just turned into nothing but a retarded soap opera.

YES Japanese wrestling IS fake in that the outcome is known before...BUT it is very much a sport still, the guys know how to work and there is a lot of athleticism and wrestling involved, and like bigmonkey said, is not as scripted as WWE, and relies on talent and not retarded gimmicks and face and heel stuff, and Japanese promotions actually have WRESTLERS, unlike WWE which had such no talent idiots as John Cena, Bill GOldberg, Hulk Hogan, the Ultimate Warrior, and Batista as champions when they should have been jobbers. WWE is NOT wrestling it is sports entertainment crap.

fake is essential in wrestling imo..if not injuries will occur(besides the screw ups). if guy says he is going for powerbomb but opponent mistook it for reverse hurricanrana, he could break his neck..no matter how talented you are you will be fu-ked up lol

this video sums it up nicely

Japanese Pro-Wrestling receives much more respect from the Japanese Public than the Americans give to Wrestling. A couple of former Yokozuna, rikishi and Sumo's became Wrestlers when their careers were over or just never became as big as they wished. Masahiko Kimura, the world's greatest Judo player ever spent many years in the Wrestling business. Kyokushin Karate founder Mas Oyama spent his years touring in America as a Professional Wrestler. Japanese wrestling companies tend to only recruit people with Sporting backgrounds. (Mostly in Amaresu, Judo, Sumo) Japanese wrestling was a precursor to MMA. Many of Japan's top guys in the 80's jumped to start the MMA revolution. Kazushi Sakuraba's career started out in Pro-Wrestling.

It's fake, everyone knows it's fake and yet people continuously put it down because it is fake. Do you know movies are fake and television is fake too? Moron. It's entertainment, if you are not entertained by it then fine.. But funny thing is you seem extremely knowledgeable about Wrestling too. You must've been a wrestling fan.. aw I bet you used to think it was real and you were crushed when you found out it was "fake". And no, Japanese wrestling isn't a ripped off version of the WWE.
