I thought they were getting rid of the S2000 for 08.

this s2k will be a limited edition. shaving 2 seconds off the track is a big difference... so i think it'll be well worth the money.

It's only worth it if you want to track the car otherwise I'd rather get the regular S2000.

you could buy a used s2k for less than 20k and throw in a bunch of mods and make it much faster around the track. but no warranty.

OR have something that's very rare and retaining the factory warranty.

who cares about the warranty?
more than half of the people who actually buys a new car.

people that dont plan to do major mods to their cars care about warranty. most people planning to do lots of performance mods dont care. unless youre an evo or srt4 owner who still b!tches at their dealership for denying their 600 hp cars of warranty.

yeah, most people planning on doing major mods don't care. but they're not the majority of people who buys new cars. therefore a warranty on a new car is a plus for people who likes to keep their car stock or lightly modded and occasionally pass people up.

when $hits go wrong, put stock parts back, that is if u dont have a super heavily modded car
but if u do im pretty sure u will have the capability to bring it back to stock

I'm trying to get a s2000 for around $15,000. You guys think in a few months the old ones price will lower to that range?

$35,000 brand new...
For that price, it's a good deal in my opinion. I had the AP1 before & it was definitely worth it.

i'm sure you can get them for around 13k also. but it'll probably have high mileage.

yea
i drove my friends evo at willows springs
completely different feel to my M3
its so agile and nimble in the corners....and it felt like its on rails
not very fun tho IMO....it is REALLY ON RAILS....no room to play at all
500+awhp evo with full coilover setup.....amazingly fast but for fun, I'll take my M3 anyday
