Have anyone heard about the story of a child debating with his parents on the flag of Vietnam?

If yes, what is your thought on this? Are you going to do the same and teach your children the flag of Vietnam is the yellow flag? embarassedlaugh.gif

If you cannot beat your future generations, why not join us under our beloved flag. biggrin.gif

I went to a Vietnamese parade and boys all I saw are those defunct flags all over the parade. The funny thing is seeing those ex-VNCH soldiers dressed in military fatigues looking so proud. I don't know what they were so proud of. Then I went to a Chinese parade, and what a contrast. There I hardly saw the Chinese red flag. My observation is that Vietnamese overseas are flag waving crazed. I was never under any parental brainwashing, so of course I think there should only be one Vietnam, not two, and one flag that goes with it.

My dad doesn't care about this $hit thank God. I could wave a red flag and it wouldn't bother him.

If I see a parent waving the yellow flag, I don't blame them. They were born before the war, and we were born after. My dad told me of the allegiance he swore to the yellow flag everyday he went to school. We may be born with the same blood, land, and people, but we were born in different nations.

I see the Red flag as the flag of Vietnam.

my dad was in the vietnam war and when i think of the viet nam flag i think of the yellow flag with the red stripes.
