Illegal and unfair elections... Haven't heard anything significant these political leaders are doing... Hmong people got a long way too go. Very poor leadership skills... The youth are muted by them...

Alive or dead also? There are/were alot of active people. One of the first big Hmong politicians of course was Touby Lyfoung! But he's long gone. He was very involved in Laotian politics. It was during his time that the French started to recognize the political importance of Hmong in Indochina. He worked towards the peace in Laos. He was a military leader also, led forces against Japanese during WW2. Even GVP served under him against the Japanese before he became a general. Unfortunately Touby Lyfoung stayed behind after the communist takeover. Him and many others including members of Lao royalty were imprisoned and died in them communist re-education camps. thumbsdown.gif If you want a Hmong leader role model...he's your man! embarassedlaugh.gif

There's also people that did good things like Dr. Pob Zeb Vang that just passed away not long ago. (I think he is the reason they officially recognize us as Hmong instead of Miao or Meo embarassedlaugh.gif You can still see "meo" written in the descriptions on old pics from back during the war by Americans and French)

That's good, all you need to do is be able to appeal to the youth. What every politician lack is influence on the young people of America.

And I agree that Touby Lyfoung was a great leader, he did set up the ideal leadership character for the rest to follow.

Well, now, we can use another Hitler, Stalin, Saddam, and Mao Zi Dong like leaders to lead as hmong people lack cooperation and are so divided. It takes a cruel leader to organize and shape people so that better leaders can emerge to lead. biggrin.gif
