One day when Vietnam can not take it anymore and tells the US to stfu.

One day when Vietnam can not take it anymore and tells the US to stfu.

First, The Vietnamese government's diplomats are trained to be far more polite than this. Second, we carry conversations with everyone and his brother, - the EU, ASEAN, the Pacific Rim countries, the US, Australia, the NGOOs, the World Bank, the IMF, foreign investors, etc.- and they are not shy about telling us what they think. Telling people to stfu will not stop from from talking whether you like it or not, but the tone of the dialogue will just be nastier and harder. And who needs that?

US and Vietnam will grow closer & closer as the years roll by. Both sides know this. Talktohand.gif

genius.gif Both sides want it.

It is not like you use word stfu, but something similar to that sense. Though, when people get MAD they will say anything that comes out of their mind.

That idiot Bush Jr. was just in Vietnam a while ago. In the context of Iraq, reporters asked him: "What is the lesson of the Vietnam War?"

Apparently, he was quiet prepared and quickly replied: "The lesson of the Vietnam War is to never quit." (Or something to that extent).

The implication is obvious: Bush meant that the US could have won the war had it not left.

What did Hanoi say? Absolutely nothing. Talktohand.gif They were too afraid it would hurt the WTO membership negotiations, as well as yankee investment dollars.

China is the BIG common threat to both countries. Vietnam & the US will become allies sooner or later.

lolz why Vietnam needs to say something? there are many discussions about this idiotic Bush when he opened his mouth. If you got a chance to watch it when Bush seeing our president, his two palms like rubbing with his monkey face showing lots of respect. Bush is considered not very good with his words but people say he got better vision than Clinton in foreign affairs, I don't know if it is true.

Oh and Vietnam got policy that befriend with all nations around the world, Michael Marine cannot do anything about that. When we want to kick butt just tell the loud-mouth Chavez over laugh.gif. There are many other potentials like Kim Jong Il, the Castro brothers, Amedinejad & Khaneimi(spelling?), Sudan president or even China president hahaha.. they will not know that they will play it for us. That is way more smarter. laugh.gif

It would be similar to China's telling the US to mind it's own affairs.

Then the US would bring it up again.

And then Vietnam will say the same thing.

Repeat.

Don't say anything to anyone unless you are prepared to back up to the hilt what you say - especially if that anyone is ruthless, doesn't forget insults and plays for keeps. It's a lot more agreable and less stressful to be polite to everyone.

The U.S is a dying power, and China is a growing power. If one day China is to become the worlds super power house, it would probably tell the U.S to shut up.

by that time, it won't be in trouble. also, most of made in china products are benefiting us companies, if only china can make some made in chinas from its own brands.
