There are lots of Indian expats in Singapore these days. What do they think of Singapore? Is the SG-India connection growing as fast as the SG-China connection?

they have awesome vegetarian restaurants right opposite Mustafa in Little India ! biggrin.gif
i m not sure those Indians are expats though... i know i consider them to be locals...they re part of the community to me and they re a large part of S'pore s culture... the food, holidays, celebrations (deepavili...) ... the expat crowd to me fits a certain stereotype : tends to be white, sends kids to Intl schools ( UWC, OFS...) and hangs out at Clarke Quay at night ...

Well, Singapore does mean "Lion City" in Sanskrit, so I guess the Indian connection runs deep...lol

There has been long time Indian influence in Malaysia, Indonesia & of course Singapore. There are still many Indian decendents living in Malaysia (theres Indian temples and communities in Malaysia).

I don't think anything is growing between them. I certainly wouldn't want to live in a place were people had inane prejudice towards me.
