I'm typing into this text field but the caret just jumps around a lot, causing words to be inserted in the wrong place. Any reason why it's doing this?

Is it the text field of a form, where you are submitting the form via a browser?

I am a big fan of Suse and have been using linux for the past couple of years. There isn't much that I can do on windows that can't be done on linux. There are some Vietnamese localized linux versions out there.

Yup. I was typing that previous reply. It only happened with my Dell laptop though. The keyboard was a little hot although it's been like that for months. Everything's fine with my desktop. It's probably just the heat that was causing that. You're a system analyst, right? How should I configure the Linux firewall or can I just leave it in it default state? I went to a web site and have it probe my computer and so far no problem.

I just download and install Ubuntu Feisty after I heard that Dell is gonna offer Linux on some of their computers. I like it alot. These days Linux's a lot better, with much more softwares and it's a lot faster too. I installed it both on my laptop and desktop and I have to say that I see a marked improvement in speed over Windows XP on the laptop. I just download the vietkey package but have no idea how to switch between typing Vietnamese and English. Any idea?

Ubuntu has been coming on strong. I heard it is very fast. Both my laptop and desktop are dual-boot on suse linux and windows. You can run windows XP in linux environment via virtualization software VMware which is very good and responsive. I haven't tried Vietkey on linux so I can't answer, but if you use if in windows environment, you should see an icon on a system tray that allows you to switch mode.
