Its only a matter of time, the S.Korea government has been aiding the North for many years, its time to jump on the gravy train. Once the 2 Korea's reunite, it will be very powerful, reason being is S.Korea's economy is very strong and N.Korea's military is very powerful.

I think they are the sleeping twin giants.

Peace Train beerchug.gif

by Cat Stevens

Now I've been happy lately,
thinking about the good things to come
And I believe it could be,
something good has begun

Oh I've been smiling lately,
dreaming about the world as one
And I believe it could be,
some day it's going to come

Cause out on the edge of darkness,
there rides a peace train
Oh peace train take this country,
come take me home again

Now I've been smiling lately,
thinking about the good things to come
And I believe it could be,
something good has begun

Oh peace train sounding louder
Glide on the peace train
Come on now peace train
Yes, peace train holy roller

Everyone jump upon the peace train
Come on now peace train

Get your bags together,
go bring your good friends too
Cause it's getting nearer,
it soon will be with you

Now come and join the living,
it's not so far from you
And it's getting nearer,
soon it will all be true

Now I've been crying lately,
thinking about the world as it is
Why must we go on hating,
why can't we live in bliss

Cause out on the edge of darkness,
there rides a peace train
Oh peace train take this country,
come take me home again

Yes uniting in someway will make Korea stronger, but we cannot just instantly combine the two. If and when North Korea collapses, we cannot form one Korea. Forming one Korea will destroy the SK economy. The technology gap is so huge between North and South we have to keep them separate for a long time possibly an entire generation. What we need to do is start giving them basic technology and help invest in infrastructure.

Although the initial stages after the unification will lead to difficult times for both Koreas for about a decade or two, it will, in the run long, pay off greatly as soon as the Koreans can figure out ways to properly coordinate and utilize the combined labor force of the two nations.

An even better reason to reunite is to save the North Korean people from their terrible oppression...

Of course, pay off will be huge in the long run. Today we would have a combined pop of 75 million, a little short of Germany who is the top European country, but the potential is an economy nearly the size of Germany.
