ahah.. damn right! i agree with that one.. physically yes mentally no! hehehe i work the night shift so its usually slow so i just sit, eat, do my hwk, and talk to ppl who sits by my cubical =)
Takashi
Oh please, customer service people are annoying.

Especially when the call centre is in India. If I have a problem I at least want to speak to someone I can understand ffs.
Alexa
A lot of jobs involve some degree of customer service. I'm not just talking about customer service reps...

Take fast food for example, since I am familiar with it laugh.gif

Can someone explain to me the logic in being rude to someone who is preparing your food? I know that when someone is nasty to me, I'll do whatever I can to fu-k up their order. I don't do anything gross, like spit in the food, but I do load the thing with mustard or ketchup, so it drips everywhere when they try to a bite. Ehh, it's thats the worst I can make myself do.

trust me, no one wants to do any favors for someone who is a complete asswipe. If you want the job done right, then grit your teeth and behave like a civil person. I don't care if they are annoying or lazy or whatnot. If anything, do it for yourself, not for them (although just being nice is really the best bet, but not everyone canbe nice I guess.)

So, I guess, what I am trying to say is...you play an important part in the quality of a service being done for you. Trust me, people are a lot more willing to do a good job for someone who treats them with respect rather than someone who is uneccisarily rude. And really, is it so much to ask?

Maybe some customers were just on their bad days.... u know... car crashed... kids failing school... sacked from work...
Alexa
Bad days 7 days a week? Doubtful.

I don't think a bad day is much of an excuse anyway. I don't take what I am feeling out on strangers, they certaintly don't deserve it.
Federico
Oh, i see what you meant. Yeah, that's uncalled for.

I like a bunch of ketchup and mustard on my burger. icon_redface.gif

That's the conscience talking. But many do not express themselves with their conscience in mind. embarassedlaugh.gif

They should learn some self control.

Federico, then you just may want to get me angry someday. biggrin.gif

I'm going to bed before I get angry thinking about this.

Because you take ages to frickin get a burger out, its like come on are you killing the cow in there? Talktohand.gif

And waiters.........oh waiters...........when I ask for a drink I want to get it within 5 minutes, thats not unreasonable, they want a tip and I want my sodding drink, I don't want them going off and talking to their waiter friends about their $hitty little lives when they're supposed to be getting my drink. Also what is with those sods that ask you for a tip when theres already a service charge, pfff........greedy %^(&*"!

Customer service reps really piss me off. I called up about my phone contract, went through all the if you want blah blah blah press 1 -----> for blah blah blah press 3 finally asked the question I wanted and he was like "oh, I'll have to speak to my manager" and put me on hold for 10 minutes, its not even a free fu-king number.......bastard.

People just do not know how to serve.

Then there are the salespeople who call you "You have a contract with $&* are you interested in...." No I'm not fu-king interested, if I was interested I would be calling you or I would already have a contract with you, stop calling me you bastards. Though of course thats not what you actually say, its more "I'm busy right now", "It'll just take a minute " "No I..." "Right so......" *puts phone down*

That they stop eating so much food. It's gross.

That's not true in every fastfood chain or resto. Excuse me service charge goes to the owner of the franchise not the servers. And some servers don't expect you to tip them, just a little respect from us customers and we'll get the same respect and service that we're expecting to get.

I have been doing sales for almost a week now. Thanks God most of the customers act like humans.

There will always be rude people around; there's just no way to avoid them.

Ah me too! Yesterday this really cute guy asked me if their was ketchup in the bag, I was like, "yes" because I was almost positive I sae some in there (I don't know, i was on speaker, I wasn't on cord) and he gave me this huge smile and was like "Okay Great!" I turned to the person who bagged it and was like, "Was there ketchup in there?" amd she said no neartears.gif I felt bad!

It's for them when there are little kids screaming in the background going "I waaaannntt a chocolate FWWWWWWWWOOOOOSSSSSTTTTTTTTTYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Give me a chocolate FWOSTY! MOOOOOOOM! GIMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEee!!!!!!!"?????????

BTW, screaming kids in very very very annoying too. God it hurts my ears. it bothers me when the parents just let them scream like that.

^ Eww, you work at a fast food joint?
Alexa
I get paid $6.85 an hour. it's not worth it LOL. I know it is part of my job and I usually handle it pretty professionally (aside from the ketchup things, but I have only done that recemtly because I am really sick of this job and this town...) but it still makes me angry because it is completely not needed. And my job is like a constant headache so I like to complain about it XD Makes me feel a bit better

Yes I do work fast food (Wendy's! Were getting SOLD LOL.) It's temporary, still finishing business up from college. Once I move out (and that happens in June! Wheee) I'll begin to look for another job. Right now though, fast food works because it has flexible hours.
aZnRiCeChiQ
^What's minimum wage where you at? Damn, $6.85.

$6.85 is minimum wage. I am getting a raise though.
SevenEighthsAsian
...6.85 is kinda low for someone over 18.

As for one of my jobs it is required of me to be rude and stern (though you initially have to sound nice and cooperative) to some people I have to call up.
