Actually I find that Singaporean girls are not restricted when it comes to displaying their sexuality compared to their Malaysian counterparts.

I think no matter how rich you are, you still need to have the responsibility as a wife and a mother, which includes doing house chores, cooking, raising children. Of course the husband should share some responsibility in this modern world where male and female are equal too, but that doesn't mean the women can neglect their role as a wife and a mother. You can go shopping but you should always think of the budget of your family, try to save money for your kids to get into colleges. In case of emergency you should put away your own interests and focus on the need of the family or of you children.

hurrr, in the male dominated society, they love to have their women think like that. Woman as a wife and a mother, doing house chores, cooking, raising children. many places, both parents have to work, husband and wife have to work together, the life style is just too expensive, and daycare is often a way to go for many families.

^ who says women should only be housewife? They can go to work, do business, participate in all kinds of events they want, but still they shouldn't forget their responsibility (of course the men should share this responsibility too). In Vietnam the women can go to work, yet they can still take care of their family...It is thought in Vietnam that a good girl should be able to cook even if her family is rich or and even if she's the mayoress of a city. Family is the CORE of the society. It's where every individual of the society is raised and taught of morals (of course you learn morals from school too but you learn your morals mostly from your family). If the families are healthy, the society is healthy. And a family can't be healthy if the woman of the family neglects her responsibility as a wife and a mother.

Look like we have traditional and none traditional these day. Traditional = parents+children. None traditional would be more like a gay/lesbian couple + adopted children. Neglecting is not hard to find in many part of the world.
I think the family will be more healthier if the bottom two of the Maslow-pyramid are filled.
