Japan boy 'severs mother's head'

A teenage Japanese boy has been arrested after walking into a police station carrying a severed human head and claiming to have killed his mother.
The 17-year-old went to a police station in the town of Aizuwakamatsu, north of Tokyo, carrying the head in a sports bag, Japanese media said.
The beheaded body of a woman was later found at the boy's home, police said.
This is the latest in a series of grisly killings in Japan, a country renowned for its low crime rate.
On Monday a severed human leg was discovered in a small river in central Tokyo.
In January, a 32-year-old woman was arrested after she confessed to killing her husband, dismembering him with a saw and dumping body parts around Tokyo.
'It's horrifying'
In the latest case, the boy, said to be a local high school student, reportedly told police he killed his mother with a knife during the night as she slept, and had acted alone.
Japanese press said the boy lived with his young brother, separately from their parents. Their mother was believed to have been visiting them on Monday.
The teenager was reported to have undergone psychiatric treatment at some point in the past.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Yasuhisa Shiozaki expressed his alarm at the reports. "If it's true, it's horrifying," he said.
Aizuwakamatsu is located in Fukushima prefecture, some 200km (125 miles) north of Tokyo.

i dont even think gangsters would kill their own parents. They care about their families.
But man, the freakiest murder cases are always from japan. I thought those type of stuff only come out in movies.

freakiest murders don't just come from japan! there was recently a woman who cut off her baby's arm because she said god told her, there were several of those types of murders in america as well as people who chain people up in basements and torture them or eat them among all kinds of freaky and heinous things people can imagine to commit. $hit.

I read this guy was a good student in middle school but when he joined high school he became realyl stressed out.

My home town is in KANSAS and that thing was all over the news when I used to live there. It was the talk of the town.
With all this stuff going on, I think it's a Death Note thing ....maybe.

Well, he turned himself in.
It's fu-ked up, but still, I would feel totally safe in Japan next time I go there. I can leave all my belongins, bags, books, except my wallet outside of a shop and no one would steal it. I could go biking late at night in a very silent place, and I would still feel safe. I wouldn't do any of these kind of things where I current live.

These issues are becoming a major issue when the Military Newspaper STARS & STRIPES puts these events about japan on the front page of one of their daily papers. if I had a scanner, I would scan the articles.

That kid obviously has issues; the problem isn't over though. It's probably because ppl think that he is freaky that drove him to such an extreme action. It's hard to judge b.c we don't know the issues. We just know what he did in that isolated incident. It's extremely sad and disturbing, but hopefully, some understanding comes out of it so that something like this does not happen again.

kinda remind me of wat happened in houston where this black guy severed his ex-gf body up and charred piece of her body in his BBQ grill to hide the evidence...but the stink of it going to the neighbors apt did not help
