I use to watch of the revilla movie, love those movies. and since my dad side grew up in the provinces, and in manila itself, i have many stories about agimat, or filipino artifacts that give super human strenght when worn or used. i remember watching one time actual modern footage taken in some province where juromentado and rebel people were crazy enough to terrorize towns people with their numbers, the pi army was called adn they rushed the soldiers still believing of their agimats power, worn around their necks, teh soldiers mowed them down like grass. too bad i guess they got it blessed from a crappy quack doctor.

there was a family member of ours in the pi army during ww2 when the japanese got a hold of leyte, he was a captain and led several victorious campaigns against them. it was held that the japanese could not kill him with their gusn cuz he got an agimat. so the japs lured him by getting some kiss @$$ rich villagers to assemble a meeting with them for armistice/victory party/recruiting party for guerillas, when the japanese opened fire on the house. after heavy firing, they swore he had no way of surviving it at all but he was still shooting and unharmed, but i guess captain morales ran utta luck when teh japanese fianlly got some brains and decided to burn the hosue. he was still shooting as he burned down.

In Quiapo district there were a lot of amulet vendors!

When i was young, i really loved to watch ramon revilla's film... full of kababalaghan ... there's even a time that i believed in that movie about those agimat... but now, when i watched that i felt stupid believing them before.

i prefer watching the agimat movies of revilla and teh panday/police movie of poe than the old action movies of erap, so boring.

i haven't seen any agimat movies, probably bcos i'm always in my room... sleeping xD

i guess your one of the new age filipinos that don't know about the eighties, when they have tons of films like that. i am only twenty but dang i use to watch all movies in pi, old and new.

I guess that was his amulet ! The lastest Star was his 16 year old male son "Ram Revilla" in Manila Film Festival last june "Anak Ka ng Tatay mo " film.

i wish i have one too. pero what if there really agimats that exists in the world...
