I doubt American Idol created this Vietnamese show. And I'm not complaining about copying the idea. A gazillion of those shows popped up after American Idols became successful. What I'm complaining about is the imitation music, the white-and-blu logo and the video shots of contestants lining the streets. It's God awful.

I am not here to argue where the birthplace of XXX Idol is . Vietnamese version absolutely is based on American Idol so I said 'original' in this sense. You seem pretty much censorious right?

gosh, you spoke like a 3rd grade kid, sound really stupid. IF you don't know anything, research for it before you speak out, otherwise you just appear to be like an idiot. Do you even know what franchise business is? This is like that. The format of the show is copyrighted, meaning the music, the logo, even the "passing paper" color are copyrighted. When you want to use the whole format of the show, you have to pay big bucks to the one who originate the show. A lot of american shows are franchise. The two I can think of is "who wants to be a millionaire" and "american idol". Those two shows originated from UK. To be able to use the same format, logo, background, music....the U.S have to pay, and so does Vietnam. So using the same logo is not copycat or imitation, it's just simply buying the copyrighted version to be able to use it. This whole Idol thing is now in 30 countries already. They ALLL use the same logo/format/music background because they already paid for it.

they are not showing you every single contestant who got admitted, not every single one is bad. Usually the audition rounds, it's hard to spot out a good voice becaue they sing with no music and such. Wait till the top 30 round to judge ok. Even Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood didn't sound as good in the audtion round as they did during the final top 20 round.
