South Korean and U.S. intelligence officials confirm that the two countries are taking seriously recent reports of a deterioration in the health of North Korean leader Kim Jong Il.

The interest, first reported in South Korea’s Chosun Ilbo newspaper and confirmed by NBC News, is based on Kim’s month-long disappearance from view as well as internal reports that the 66-year-old is suffering from advanced diabetes and heart disease as well as high blood pressure.

“The National Intelligence Service has obtained information that the reclusive leader Kim’s diabetes and heart disease have been worsening. This information is more reliable than former rumors,” Chosun Ilbo reported, quoting a South Korean official.

I doubt his son will be as stubborn as his daddy, since he must be aware of his dad's stupidity after have enjoyed the richness of the capitalist world.

When he dies, let's hope someone less stupid replaces him.

The day after he dies, North Koreans would probably try to surge into SK while SK sends their army to occupy NK and the US will try to tell SK what to do along with China.
Ju-mong
So his son will replace him?

How can Korea be a free nation? Without China or USA telling them what to do?

Its called leverage. China and US are enemies, the US also need Korea as an economic bridge to China. But to be honest, what country doesn't have the US telling em what to do?

Of course there is countries that USA can't tell them what to do. I say China, India, Soviets, Iran, NK... I don't know...

If you have ICBM it seems USA can't tell them what to do.

If there will be a power struggle, I don't think it will be a pretty sight.
If it becomes a peaceful power struggle, then that's good. Even Kim's son would be a better leader since he understands the capitalist world more.
