Japanese don't sit on their butts. That's considered improper. You do "seiza." It's painful if you aren't used to it. It took me two weeks of kendo practice to be fine with it.

I want hanfu to revive, but it's kinda contrived to open up a restaurant where you have to dress up like that. Hanfu should be for occasions like weddings, holidays and public festivals. Japanese or Koreans don't need to open up restaurants where people need to wear kimono or hanbok. There's nothing natural about it.
Chinese furniture tradition is quite nice. The traditional Song or Ming furniture needs to be arranged in a certain way.
