why not? they worship USA.
Philipine are very similar to USA due to the fact that both are countries that are "made up" from bits and pieces of other people's culture. Philipine has USA's biggest and longest military base, and the pilipinos just love em!
Philipine is USA's most ignored ally, yet they are the most loyal, forgiving host to US's military.
just become one, fly the star and spangle on the soil of philipines!!!!
yaaaay

pardon me BatangDamo but i'd just like one statement to this guy before i ignore him completely..
first of all, the US doesn't want the Philippines as a 52nd state. that is pretty obvious and for you to understand that i'd gladly explain it to you:
1. the US had more than 40 years of control of the Philippines and yet it never considered it as a state but as a colony. they should have done that a long time ago.
2. if the Philippines would become a state, the "would-be" Philippines state would then be by the far the largest number of people and then has the highest number of votes.. 43 million votes to be exact. with 43 million votes, a Filipino native-turned-american can then be elected into the President of the strongest nation in the world.
and fyi, the united states is not supposed to be called that way. coz if they are states, they should have been separate entities since in the strictest sense, a "state is a community of people with sovereignty, a definite territory, and government". now there's the word "sovereignty" meaning independence from another. in the US, there are about 51 states yet they are under one government. they should be called regions for that matter. but that's a historical error so we can't do anything about it now. whew.. now i pointed my part in the argument. whatever you want to argue about the Philippines as a 52nd state, ask your polsci prof.
and for the record, you're not YET as of the moment on my ignore list. i might still reply to you if you have posts that do make sense..
