It probably wasn't.

This guy isn't an act/troll, he's a mainland Chinese bumpkin who needs to work on his internet social skills and english vocabulary.

tutudelai, do you know what gripping means? Because, unless there was like a human finger in there, it's not gripping.

Oh and by the way:

WTH is so "gripping" about this? You've chosen the wrong word to describe this...

lol@ gripping!
I love sushi but I cannot get use to the fish eggs. Could somebody tell me what that taste like? I'm sorry, I dont' have the balls to eat those. I feel like they will burst in my mouth leaving me with some type of very fishy taste.

Japanese raw dishes taste like crap. When i eat it, the only thing gripping about it is, my hands gripping my hair.

I like their non-raw dishes though.

The raw seafood in Japan is excellent. It is delicious, very healthy, and the presentation is aesthetic. It's rare to find really good sushi outside Japan though, especially the prime bluefin tuna (maguro) they use. Authentic Japanese food is terrific, and there's a lot of variety. I never got bored eating out everyday in Tokyo.

Japanese noodles are top-notch too, the ramen shops are unbeatable.

Noodle, Tomato, Cucumber, and Kimchi.
That's a winning combo right there.

Yeah, looks good. It's definitely a Korean recipe though... the Japanese are liking their 'kimuchi' more and more thesedays.

"Gripping," would work in the sense that someone is gripped (figuratively) by an image. That is to say, they are fixated or entranced.
splur
god, enough with the gripping

It's cool to like sashimi. It's hip, it's trendy, and it makes you feel Hollywood. embarassedlaugh.gif

Japanese food in the U.S. is mostly crap (i.e sushi), but the real stuff in Japan is worthy of love.

Japanese food is really good if it's made well.
