The stereotype of Japanese women being pretty is a creation of their media. Like with everything else, Japanese women are just packaged really well.

But biologically, the "good Asian features" such as: double eyelids, small faces, prominent noses, pale skin, sharp features... With the exception of pale skin, all the others are largely abscent from most Japanese women, as they are from most Northeast Asian women.

There's a reason why double eyelid surgery, or plastic surgery in general is more popular in Northern China than Southern China. Northern Chinese need it more. Southern Chinese women's issues (namely short height and dark skin color) are not something plastic surgery can resolve.

So really, by Asian standards (I have no idea what white standards for Asian beauty are but I suspect they begin and end with "willing"), Japanese women are actually some of the lesser attractive East Asians.

I actually find a lot of Japanese girls have the worst teeth ever. Most Asians do actually.
