mal-intent is a word, no?

I can't find it on dictionary.com, so I'm starting to think that I'm making up words. Is it not formal language? Urbandictionary says it's "malicious + intentions"... but that sounds cheesy... Is it really slang? :O

I think it's some illegitimate american word?

"Mal intent" is not generally hyphenated but written as two words. "Mal" is used in English but originates from French. In this case, it means "bad" so mal intent is a bad intention. Hope that helps!

Just use malicious if mal-intent doesn't exist.
