I don't know if I'm just used to the beer in the US, but BeerLao seems a little watered down to me. Tasted ok though. I pretty much have to drink the whole case just to get drunk.

Back when I visited Laos a few months ago and also the first time around 2 yrs ago. Hopefully this coming spring will be my 3rd time back. If you want to get a taste of Lao for now, go out and buy a bottle of Johny Walker Black label. Or Red label. That's just about the only hard liquor they drink over there. That way you'll be ready when you go visit Laos and relatives hands you a shot of JW. Man those guys can drink.
