most women want to sound young and cute, or have a deep/orgasmic voice that is both powerful and seductive
dont think its 100% natural... some women think its more approachable to culture their voice to a social standard.
just like how some gay men develop that lisp... we know they werent born with it....

Two main reasons. Yes, it's more acceptable to sound younger and cuter there.
But also, the language itself sounds "cute", shall we say, to most other people. Have you ever heard a normal Japanese girl speak English? Not as cute. I even sound cute when I speak Japanese, it's hard to speak it without putting some type of emotion into it.

It's a common practice to purposefully raise the pitch of one's voice for women and lower it for men.
They practice it.
