Yeah, buts thats just one store, why limit ourselves to that, when we have thousands of outlets that can support our products? Even though they are Tsinoy owned, they are the ones spearheading the buy Pinoy campaign.

The Chinoys are geniuses at marketing and they take every opportunity to use that advantage to expand their businesses. Much of the stuff they sell or distribute at the lower priced malls took less effort to make than it is for the Philippine government to print a 25 centavo coin.
Having said that, we all know that much of the stuff that they sell from mall 168 in Divisoria to drugs at your local corner drugstore are inexpensive and counterfeit. How many times have you bought pasalubong like Oakleys or DVDs to bring back for friends that gave you a shopping list to buy at a really discounted shop only to get it confiscated at the airport by the custom agents once you enter the US? You know that it's fake and they know that before they even asked you if you know that it's fake. So what are you going to say?
The originators of these fake goods seldom use their fake goods because they've amassed enough money to buy the high end goods for themselves. Just look at the cars they drive, clothes they wear and cell phones they use. I don't think its counterfeit, do you?
If you look at the mainland Chinese goods coming out of China, you'd see that they are making alot of money by pissing big companies off with their blatant copyright violations.

We need to expose ourselves to better made goods. We need to learn that it should be for the long run and not for the here and now way of thinking. Bring that Wal Mart, bring all those companies that will show us that there is a better choice. We as consumers, and there are over 168 million Pinoys in Philippines, will patronize stores that sell goods that will last; goods that fit our needs.
Anyone reading this will probably think that i'm anti-Chinoy, which is far from the truth. The only thing i don't like is when hard earned money is wasted for the quick cash of having sold junk in our country. The Philippines is a third world, which we all know, but having that reinforced by keeping inferior counterfeit goods in our stores keeps that reputation strong which in turn gives the Philippines a really bad reputation (as if we need one).
Let me say again that i'm not anti-Chinoy. The successful businesses are runned by Chinoys but at the same time, the struggle that was made to get to the top shouldn't be to rip off the other guy to pass the savings on to the next guy.
