1. Thai people try to claim ankor wat..!!?!!
2. They stole the buddha heads in several ancient temples..!!?!!
3. They monopolized kickboxing from us..!!?!!

views. I agree with 2 an 3 but i haven't heard any thai try to claim angkor wat. if your talkin about what happened in the 2003 Phnom Penh Anti-Thai riots, the actress didn't really say that. It was something she said when she was playing as a character in some show. but if thai people really try to claim angkor, then that burnt thai embassy is what they get for trying to claimit. and it wouldn't make no sense for them to claim angkor since thai people are buddhist and Angkor Wat was originally a hindu temple.

I have several reasons for why I do not want anything to do with Thailand. I do not want to start up a flame thread between Khmers and so called Thais, but yeah oh what the hell here's the list...

1) Thais try to claim everything as theirs in the South East Asian region especially food and name it with Thai this and Thai that.

2) Most Thais don't know their true history because of the Thaification that occured with their propaganda.

3) The Thais did own Angkor Wat for a bit.. the whole Siem Reap and Battambang province, but it was given back to us from the French... I in the other hand do believe that they are still mad about losing those provinces from us back because Angkor Wat is one of the main tourist attractions in South East Asia... other then that it's still ours so too bad for them.

4) During the Khmer Rouge regime when most Khmers ran into Thai border they tortured and shot many Khmers who ran across for refuge... My parents were one of those people who were mistreated along with many of my parents friends and family... this is the main reason why I dislike them as our neighbors for Cambodia.

5) I think that these so called Ladyboys are just nasty... I don't know if they are making other South East Asian countries look like we are all like those girly men, but lately I hadn't heard anything like that at all, but only directed towards Thailand lol.

6) As for kickboxing Predal Serey, Muay Thai, etc... I don't like the idea that Thailand is claiming that they are the true creators of that martial art. We all know our facts of which country is older, where the proof is carved onto, but I am sure it was never Thailand that created it first because Thailand is NOT older then Cambodia's ancestors who were the Khmer people who ruled much of South East Asia.

7) Thai people need to learn their history more throughly seriously... I am sick and tired of hearing lies coming out of most of them who don't even know the truth at all because they are brain washed to learn fake history.

8) They try to claim Preah Vihear as theirs and plastered the Rama scripts all over our Khmer scripts on the temple... too bad they lost to us and it belongs to us! It's ours! Khmer made!

9) They try to steal every land that we have and all our resources... I heard some news about us discovering something I'm not gonna say what it is, but they want us to so called share it with them... man F that they can go kiss @$$ because it's located in Cambodia! Always greedy as ever.

10) They beat us and took mostly all our land back then lmfao... I still won't let it go for why our country is so little now... plus Angkor Wat was robbed and you should know what they sacked over there already which was the Khmer identity!

11) Need I say more ? I'll end the list for now, but I have tons more lol.

In conclusion all I have to say is you Thais stay away from Cambodia it's all we have left!

i think the Cambodian gov't should spend more on attracting thai tourist. Lots of dollars to be made. No-one can really change what's happened in the past so all we should worry about now is uniting Khmer people for the benefit of Cambodia, and not discriminate against anyone.

channel a long time ago, i saw a commercial dat had a thai person looking at da temple carvings at Angkor Wat and at
da end it showed da whole picture of Angkor Wat. I guess it was tryin to make thai people go their. And i saw a picture of a billboard in Thailand that had thai alphabets and showed a Angkor Wat picture.

dont forget they let the americans set up bases in thailand in which they did secret bombings in cambodia.

Don't dwell on the past so much. The past is the past, nothing anybody can really do to change much realistically speaking. Lets all move forward and do better. Learn from past histories, past mistakes and help to rebuild our nation instead of whining all day. Right now, WE are our own worst enemy. I am new to this forums. I am Khmer and very proud of it. This whole situation with the Thai's are very ridiculous, why are they trying to steal Khmer land away from Cambodian people. Through out actual history between khmer and thai after talking and searching around from old folks who know the story pretty clearly. They have all stated that Khmer and Thai at one time were brothers from the same blood or royalty. As to one was given a grasp on Cambodian land and the other was given a piece of land (which we all now know as thailand) developed their own language of a combonation of Khmer and Laos.
The Thai's never had their own history, the only histroy that they ever had were that they were thieves who ransacked AGNKOR and KHmer culture for and exsample=(the Thai kickboxing, the technique they have is a very waterdown fighting style of BAKOTOR. as to oppose kickboxing may have 5 techniques verses to BAKOTOR having 20.) but they used the technique and glamorised it as a sport that is why its known as MUY-THAI. But if you were to take a thai kickboxer and throw him into a ring with a Khmer with bakotor Technique, the thai boxer will or would be dead in a matter of minutes. The actual bakotor technique was used in warfair and trained to soldiers in the army to protect the country from invaders.
The Thai people have stolen alot from our Khmer culture like the apsara and our temples and try to claim that its theres.
As I have done my research and browsed and saw artifacts by compare and contrast, I have saw and artifacts and sculptures that were all Khmer and the temples that are still on their land it was all Khmer temples, cause we did at one point ruled over Thai or a good portion of south easT asia.
Thai people never had a history of war, they are not soldiers. Khmer people have history of war and conqouer. Evidence are there etched in the stones of our very own temples. If the Thai people want war with us Khmer people, that is something that they should really think about cause as a true Khmer we will never fall untill we are dead in the trenches. 1 of us may fall but 50 of you will die.
So maybe the thai should rewrite their history about who they actually really are and who they originated from, instead of trying to take land from cambodia.
