Gergoz, can u give a lowdown on the types of magazines in each country, what target groups they are aimed at? What's the point of listing all these mag covers if you don't give a bit of explanation who and what they are targetted at in each country??? icon_wink.gif

8Days is a weekly Singaporean magazine published by MediaCorp's publishing arm MediaCorp Publishing, aimed mainly at the teenage market. The magazine is predominantly about the latest celebrity gossip and television news as well as television synopsis for every episode, with small sections featuring other subjects. These include interviews, film reviews, music reviews, travel, book reviews, a horoscope and a food section among others.

The magazine also has unique sections, including "Stars and their Cars", an occasional section where celebrities are interviewed about their new automobiles, and "How I Spend my Weekend", a column providing a celebrity's personal recount about what he/she does during the weekend. The people featured in the latter have included personalities from Project Runway finalist Santino Rice to theatre director Ivan Heng. Another section, named "Boos and Bravos", is comprised of small paragraphs rating a particualar instance in a television program or commercial as either good or bad.

Clebrity interviews are also sometimes themed, or presented in an unusual fashion. For example, an interview with actress Shu Qi was peppered with photographs of her facial expressions when she was answering the specific question. Another interview with the hosts of a local hidden camera television program, Gotcha! (TV series), set the hosts up for a seemingly routine photoshoot with a demanding photographer.

8 Days and its Chinese-language contemporary i-Weekly are two of the countries longest-running magazines, running for more than 16 years as of 2007. Most often, celebrities are the cover page stories, with annual "special" issues such as "30 Sexy Stars Under 30". Also, the latest films have made their way to the magazine's cover, with their team scoring exclusive interviews as part of the international press for such blockbusters as Superman Returns, Spider-Man 3 and The Grudge 2.

@507bro: Cute magz!

GADIS is an Indonesian magazine for teenage girls. First published in 19 November 1973, it's the first magazine for teenage girls ever published in Indonesia. Talking about the most important things in a teenage girl's life like make-up, fashion, celebrity gossip and of course boys, GADIS is essential for every girl in her teens. Even with the international magazines now flooding Indonesia's publishing world like Cosmogirl or Seventeen, GADIS will always be a part in Indonesia.

@furrie: I just found out that Eva Lesmana, daughter of Sophia Latjuba and Indra Lesmana is already a big girl now!

HAI is the oldest and (I think) the only Indonesian magazine for teenage boys! It's all about boys and their toys: music, girls, automotive, girls, videogames and of course, girls!
