AsiaFinest is now on the new server.. So far everything seems to be running a lot faster, but that could be because there's not many forum users right now since it will take a while before everyone can access the server.. Anyway be sure to let me know if you encounter any errors of any kind. The only errors that i noticed is the picture gallery not working on the main site.

I'm still having the same problems as before. I just had an IPS error and also earlier I tried to enter the sight--not even logged in yet--and it froze. I've had that before too. I haven't had the really long wait thing happen yet but it's still not fully fixed.

i've gotten one ips error so far. it only lasted 5 seconds though.

I think we still need to find a better server or what?

Much worse than before, I'm afraid. Half of the time, I cannot even log onto the website.

I have not seen the IPS Driver Error yet, but I haven't been able to stay on this site for very long before it becomes inaccessible... Is there a configuration issue (e.g., parameter set to limit/throttle the max # of simultaneous users online or something like that?).

It's faster but I got some errors last night.

I was angry, because I received a pretty important PM a few days ago and I decided not to read it, but then the server went down. :S

Now it's cool. Kinda glad you decided to get a new server. Must've cost you a fortune.

Instead of IPS error a few times the page just doesnt load and times out, i think there is a slight improvement, but I cant really tell.

Yes same with me as well, the page doesn't load sometimes at all. But the IPS drive error is no more.

Anyway.. bear with me while the tech people are working out the kinks on the new server. In the process of optimizing the mysql and apache to handle all these concurrent users. Trust me.. I'm pretty frustrated that the new server is going down this often. It's definitely faster, but since i haven't optimized it yet.. it goes down when too many users are on it.. I am going to have to do something about all these guests...

The server will be down for a few hours tonight while we work on it.

After the server was taken down for inspection, there seems like there was an issue with the system board.. They switched the system board to a new one. Hopefully this helps.. if it doesn't there're going to switch the raid. Looking at the number of guests 3000+.. I am assuming the tech team tried to overload the system to see what was wrong..

Please let me know if AF still goes down and for how long.

It sometimes goes out for about 2-4 hrs. for me.

You probably were on during the time when i took down the server for inspection..

But so far so good tonight.. usually the server would have stalled by now.. but it didn't.. hopefully it's smooth sailing from here.

im having problems connecting to AF.

when im on t-1 from china, but when i try to connect, the site times out most of the time.

Now it's good though. It hasn't crashed since this evening.

so far, so good, today...

Its pretty good at the momment Im getting good speeds on pages loading, I turn off peoples sigs to get even better speeds so its lightning quick for me at the momment lets hope it stays like that forever thats is until another 10,000 guests show up ¬_¬.

Finally! Ive been gone for weeks then I finally log on to ask a question and find out the server was down! RAWR! lol The only actual time I need the forum its down But its great to have the forum up again. So far everything is running goood ^^
