You're referring to the Asian American population though right? It is kinda odd since Chinese and Indians are cooped up in the same model minority group, and both are overrepresented in upper tier colleges and high schools. Naturally, one would assume that since there's so much interaction between the two groups, they'd be like rabbits. I blame it on conservative upbringings.

Marriages between Chinese and Indians were pretty common in Southeast Asia. One of my co-worker's cousin has some Indian ancestory, both of his parents are ethnic Chinese (from Vietnam and Malaysia).

Travel to Calcutta, India , and look for a street called "Ripon Street" there are quite a handful of Chinese men - Indian females couples living there.

What is so special about "Ripon Street" ? Because there is a small Chinese Chinese Community there and interracial marriage among "Chinese men + Indian female" and "Chinese men + White female" is not rare. Yes you did not misread my message...there are also a very small number of white people living there as well.

I remember seeing one couple where it was I believe a Chinese guy and the girl was Punjabi Sikh. I knew the girl she was really cool, but I always wondered if she got flack for dating a non Sikh guy and a non Desi guy. A similar question could be asked of the Chinese guy as well.

I know a Chinese Man in London "UK" his wife, she is "Black" and comes from Ghana!!!...have 2 children and have been married for approx 5 yrs.... "a mixed marriage".

When they first met it was love at first sight....and they could not communicate in spoken language, as time progressed
they communicated in English....

Parents of "both" disowned them....but they are happy and thriving!!!!

Anyway, Indians are Asians.

There are lots of Malay+Indian(since many years back) and Malay+Chinese and Chinese+Indian(since few years back)... all these happen mainly in Singapore.
