The next generation is responsible to make sure this does not happen again. Japan has no moral ground to be racist towards chinese or any asian country. The LEAST you can do to respect these victims is to stop your prejudice towards people that YOU have hurt and taken advantage of. The older generation is dying out, you will replace them as leaders. Change your unnecessary racist attitudes toward your own race first and NO, japanese is not a race but an asian ethnicity part of the asian community. Teach that to other japanese and let it become a ripple effect. It's your choice to continue your heritage, culture and be proud and discard the negative.
