Never knew what it was before but just saw it and most of the styles are very nice looking. I personally like the Ganguro one, on a moderate tone though. I also saw something on the net called B-Gyaru and that looked kinda cool.

This girl would look really good IMO if she toned it down a bit:

Wonder if theres Korean girls like this...hrmm...If you guys got some pics, post them!

And the best one is Juno

VAMAN
Sorry for my ignorance, but what a Gyaru actually means? Is it some type of girl? This is a bit confusing.
Mua
so you like it when girls hide their natural features through heavy make up and the unnatural look??

From what Ive read, "gyaru" is a slang word for "gal". Its a compilation of fashion styles. The style of gyaru of the girls that I posted is called "ganguro". Theres a lot of different styles in gyaru. Gyaru is like the parent.

Gyaru
-Ganguro - Tanned skin with white eyeliner and bleach hair
-B-Gyaru - Black/Hip Hop type of style
-Kogyaru - High School Student

Theres more styles than that, but just giving you an example. Heres a video I just saw on it.

Im actually against women in general when they use so much make up (which is like almost all girls) but I do like this style oddly enough, I think its cute.

Ive seen her awhile ago, but I didnt know that her style was called gyaru until I read someone mention that word before.

I agree man, its either way. That coco one is pretty awful to me though.

"gyaru" - ギャル is the Japanese transliteration of the word "girl" in English (say it out loud really quickly, it'll sound like it) and is basically what they think a "western" or more specifically American girls looks like. At least originally that's what they intended but it warped into something much weirder, similar to the way we think that most Japanese girls are school girl cute anime.

Anyways, quit posting these pictures you'd find in magazines. The real gyarus and ganguros in shinjuku are piss ugly. I've passed by actual ones on the street and it's not too far from beastly. I wish I took pictures, but... well that'd be weird now wouldn't it.

edit-

YES! Found a good picture. That's what I encountered, cept most of the ones I saw had darker bronzer which made them look black. Look at those scars on their legs, looks like injection scars... a given cause you gotta be completely out of it to dress like that.

I love the orange look.

Ya in the video, they were stating about how Barbie is their role model and even though shes a doll, they wish they were her.

No, majority of them get that dark. It's almost an addiction, and they just... go overboard after a while. The Japanese girls who joke around with it (popular example Tsuji Nozomi) or girls who experiment really lightly into any gyaru/subculture is okay. AKA, the ones you post. The real ones you see on the streets are gross.

Look up Banbas, they're even worse. And they're the "crazy" ones in the clubs who go into seizures, probably cause of all the X they took. Banba = "American clubber slut". Hahaha!

nice innovation, but some tans take it too far, it may even considered as posing
i like japanese girls that are just themselves, without all the fancy stuff
