I personally like the music of Niraj Chag (British Asian musician) and Nithin Sawhney (again British Asian). Unfortunately I doubt their music is the type of stuff typically played at parties.

It seems you have quite a few Indian friends?

Well most of my best friends are all Indian and Filipino [Bayanai]
There are alot of Asians at my college icon_smile.gif

I really like these songs:
Any Girl - Mentor Kolektiv
I love you for what you are - [Not quite sure of artist]
Rang Kuriye - Jinx
& Punjabi by nature
& a song called Sajana Tu Mera Ranjha

Are these popluar songs? :S

ah cool. you're Korean? I think I saw your pic (not the one in your avatar, another couple in another thread you created), but you didn't really look korean.

Anyway, those songs more like what younger British Asians listen to. At this party, will it be just younger people or older too? If it's all age groups then I'd recommend a mix of the kind of stuff you got there (only a little though) and some other types of Indian music. Generally speaking that makes everyone happy.

I'd say your safest bet is going for music from movies, usually Indian people listen to a lot of it.

Do you know the two I mentioned above?

Yeah I have heard of the singers you mentioned above, and havent hear much of their music.
It's only going to be young people at the party..

cool, they're worth checking out. Nitin Sawhney is actually doing the music to a new PS3 game called Heavenly Sword, whilst Niraj Chag is still pretty much only known underground (only just starting to make it big).

Anyway, here's some of their music

Niraj Chag

Nitin Sawhney

It's definately more on the alternative side compared to what most British Asian music is like (seems you're from the UK too, so you'll hopefully know what I mean), but I personally prefer it.

So really, are you Korean lol?
