Ok Guys.. I just upgraded the forum.. It wasn't easy.. a few errors came up due to all our posts! I'm still working on it but here's a quick run down on the features!

- Warning levels! If you get more than 3 warning from the admin and moderators, you will lose your posting rights!
- Photo! You can now upload one personal photo!
- updates to the calendars, forum urls, etc..

There are more but I'm still working on the forum so let me know if you see any errors!

I killed the banner ads and popups for the forum and replaced it with the google ads.. I'm sure everyone is glad the pop ups are gone.. but if the new google ad interests you, please support AsiaFinest and check them out! All this bandwidth ain't cheap you know

Do we just need to click on the google ads so that it would count or do we have to actually look around after we click?

Just a single click would do. The new google ads should target the content of each topic.. so if you talk about BoA in one topic.. it should show BoA ads.. so the ads are actually pretty interesting.. i notice one ad that said fear japanese culture? lol


LOL i just notice that the google for this page is showing popup blocker ads because i posted about the popup being gone! lol pretty amazing..

if thats the case then Im going to all the topics just to see the freay ads that pop up....

It only works if the topic is has been view by someone... So if you hit a new topic that the googlead never seen.. it'll take anywhere from 5 mins to 1 hour before the ads are targeted.. Pretty cool.

haha kinda weird and scary... but yeah, hahaha ironically enough, i just got a pop-up blocker cuz all these pop-ups came up at annoying times! oh well.. if its not on i'll give google some clicks and there u go, my support

Don't go clicking them all at once! lol I don't want any fraud going on heh. Just once in a while is all i ask for. If you see an ad that interests you a little, check it out.

Questions/suggestions

Just wondering if there's a search option where you can check out your posts (a shortcut way to see if you got any responses to your post since you left).

Also, I'm surprised there's no forum for asian movies, books, magazines, etc.

Don't you just click on view new posts?? Or like your assistant or something like that? That's what I do.

Books and Magazines.. I don't think anyone is going to really talk about those... We could definitely do a movie section.. But right now.. I don't see that many people talking about movies.. IF there is enough interest for any given area.. I'll definitely create a new section for it. For now.. feel free to post it in af lounge.

ya.. but i think the reason many ppl aren't talking about movies is cuz not many good movies are out.. or any that appeal to ppl our age group.. well at least not yet
