Chinese reporter in cardboard buns hoax gets year in jail
http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/breakingnews/...rticle_id=82201

Zi Beijia, 28, pleaded guilty to charges of infringing on the reputation of a commodity during his trial Sunday at the Beijing No. 2 Intermediate Court, the official Xinhua News Agency said.

China should have executed this guy for making up stories.

With such a light sentence, I am sure it will not deter many others from reporting and making up fake stories.

I think China would get a rather negative response had they executed the guy.

Did Lou Dobbs ever make sure to say the story was fake? Somehow I doubt it. What an @$$. embarassedlaugh.gif He's seriously one of 3 people I want to curb stomp. Because I didn't know the stoy was fake until a few days ago.

Of course, it pales in comparison to kids around the world dying of paint in their toothpaste.

One year in jail and 1000 RMB fine is about right, I think.
