I'm from Manila and I think Cebuanos are beautiful people, though they can be real cunts sometimes.

I seriously don't understand when ppl in the Philippines talk about the different ethnic groups & how different they are. When I see a group of Filipinos of different ethnic groups I honestly can't see the difference in the way they act, talk, etc. The differences are probably soo subtle that only ppl raised in the Philippines can notice.

I think Cebuanos hate Tagalogs because the latter make fun of the former's accent and where they came from (province). Kinda like how uptown (read: rich) New Yorkers make fun of southerners, Californians, or Mormons (well everyone in America thinks Mormons are weird.)

Personally for me I like to make fun of Tagalogs because they are not capable of greatness. They pollute the islands with their crappy culture via inferior songs, movies and TV shows. And they don't know how to be funny (just look at their dreadful comedy shows.) And they have a pathetic language where all they do to make it sound cool is to reverse the pronunciation. Like olat for talo, tomgu for gutom, erap, etc. Pathetic. And have you ever heard the Tagalog gay lingo? It sounds horrible and it borrows a lot from original the Visayan version! Whereas the Visayan one is dynamic. Visayan languages also go well with English. Unlike Tagalog where one would sound like Kris Aquino or one of those Ateneo retards.

Now that you mention it, kinda makes sense. In our local SFC group (singles for christ) Bisayans hang around with themselves and tagalogs are kinda irritated when they speak bisaya in front of the SFC group when only half of the people in the room speak bisaya. Tgalogs have their own clique, same with bisayans.
