I only knew a couple of Fil-Am/Fil-Canadian comedians before I watched the videos you posted, namely Ron Josol and Rex Navarette.

Man, those other guys are just as good as Ron and Rex. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting thread! Love this stuff because it fits perfectly with my blog. I've only known and heard of Rex. I've heard other Fil-Am comedians, but I always forget they're names. I think it's difficult for Filipino comedians to make it to the mainstream since not everyone can relate to the jokes since they're Filipino oriented. Heavily Filipino populated cities or regions might understand the jokes like Northern California, but throughout the US...probably not. I think Rex is having a hard time making it to the mainstream, but I'm so proud of him and give him so much respect with being one of the Fil-Am comedians out in front right now.

I don't get it, why do they always make fun of how the way Filipinos speak English. The "F" becomes "P", the "V" becomes "B" what's wrong with that?

Don't the Japanese pronouce "L" as "R"? (During WWII, Japanese will always say, "Japanese rove (love) the Firipinos" but in Filipino ears it says "Japanese ROB the Firipinos").

watch Fil-Am comedian AIR TABIGUE video on Filipino Superstitions..He's from NY...It was at Hunter College I was there and was laughing hard at his set. BTW, My friends aren't filipino and they still got his joke.

The only comedians who don't use race are white comedians. And the non-edgy ones (meaning they don't use race) are usually boring.
