I see it for cashier using it for exact change. But for me, I'd always use quarters etc. I don't think I've used or needed to use a penny in months and maybe years.

Lol, I meant that you give pennis to the cashier so that they don't give you pennies back, or you'll just keep getting more pennies.

If you need to pay $14.77, you give the cashier a $20 and two pennies, so that you get a $5 and a quarter back, instead of a $5, two dimes and three pennies.

i keep them until they weigh my wallet down too much and then i throw them on my shelf, leaving 3 or 4 of them for correct change just in case. but there has been some talk about taking pennies out of circulation altogether since they're practically useless nowadays. there was an article posted not too long ago on cbc.ca.

I collect pennies and when I got enough, like 1000 pennies, I go to a bank and have it exchanged for dollars
