Hi All~!!
It's been about 2 months since my family and I moved here, and I like almost everything about Irvine...except for this one thing. My brother is entering uni high school, and when my mom went to enroll him, we found out that the school doesn't provide a transportation system!! The woman at the office said that all kids are dropped off/picked up by their parents every day. I've never heard of such a thing! How can working moms/dads drop off their kids at 7am and pick them up at 1 or 2pm every day?!! It just seems impossible to me that everyone can do this b/c most jobs end at 4-6pm.
Can someone tell me if there is an alterative way of transportation? The city bus is not an option b/c it doesn't come into our neighborhood and is not in walking distance. Does the city provide any other public transportation or even a private form of transportation with a monthly fee?? My brother's 14, so he can't drive yet, and my parents both work...so we're in a tough situation. How do/did you guys communte from high school??? Well, thanks in advance for your input; I really appreciate it!! biggrin.gif

How far are you guys from the school? Can't bike it or moped there?

Well, it's about 5-6miles from home, but he'd have to cross major highways to get there...otherwise, going around it would make it further than 6miles. Besides, my brother is not very experienced with bikes, and he's never even seen a moped! LOL biggrin.gif
