we are so into families. we love giving them pasalubong..

nothing more exciting than opening a balikbayan box full of towels (why does it have a certain smell - Amoy America, Amoy Stateside), toblerone, spam, bengay (for the oldies with rheumatism...hehehe), hersheys and dove...what have i forgotten???

its true XD.. like when we traveled to the philippines, passing by the states and japan, ive seen like it was only my family who had these huge boxes XD.. then when we saw other asians with boxes i was like oh theyre filipino too XD

Its not truely a balikbayan until its housed in a cardboard box, the adress is written in thick black marker on all sides, covered in tape and wrapped in thin rope.

Those thing were so ugly i used to get embarresed hauling the boxes around international airports. thankfully someone invented the balikbayan jacket
