Our MPs in Parliament are monkeys in a circus.
Let's face it, we're the ones dumb enough to vote the monkeys to power.
Le sigh .....
Not all BN MPs are clowns/monkeys. Obvious example are Shahrir and Zaid Ibrahim. A recent one that was in the news is Wan Junaidi. Some are clowns, some are just shoe polisher, bu*t lickers, some just trying to take care of their own rice bowl, so few doing it for the rakyat. Problem with our system is the MP are being controlled by the Executives as the Executives are normally the party head and will decide if any of the MP will go up for next election. We also have the whip where the MP has to toe party line during voting. Wan Junaidi sum up the frustration of being an MP in his speech about relocating the Parliament. See Malaysiakini.com
MP wants Parliament relocated to Putrajaya. I quote part of what he said below. Can get this from hansard as well. Unfortunately there are only few good men to affect positive change. Wondering if he'll be up for next GE.

Disagreeing, Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar (BN-Santubong) said that the substance of a Parliament (the MPs) is more important than its form (the outlook of the building).
"The substance of the Parliament is the most important thing that we need to look into. We need to focus on the behaviour and mentality of the people who sit in the House," he said.
"Where the Parliament is located is not important, but we have to ensure that it is on par with the judiciary and executive," he added.
"It is about time for us to move towards an independent Parliament, where we are not controlled by the executive."
"All laws are made in the Attorney-General's Chambers (executive) and are later passed down to us (legislative) to be endorsed," he said, adding that it should be the other way around where the Parliament will make the laws which will then be implemented by the executive.
"We need to release our Parliament from the grip of executive to be an independent body of the government. That's what separation of power means as stated in the Federal Constitution."
