HEy every1! my summer job this year has me working at an outdoor pool again. and that means i catch alot of sun, usually wearing the same thing all the time (uniform). I've come to notice that i look 3 shades darker then i originally was.. and their are funny looking tanlines biggrin.gif.

I was wondering if there was anyway to make it go away faster (and staying out of the sun is not an option)

thanks alot. icon_smile.gif

I like getting tanned during the summer (I dont use sunblock but thanks to ShanghaiBabe she made me aware of it embarassedlaugh.gif) but it all fades away at fall madgo.gif and worst in winter...

I think you should even your tan everywhere then when summers over, you'll get back to your original colour...this way its all even without having a farmers tan embarassedlaugh.gif

wear sunscreen, wear a visor and sunglasses with 99% UV blockage. Also wear protective clothing. Since staying out of the sun is not an option, you can use skin lightening creams! LOL!

putting massive make up on is as effective as putting on sun screens. Hehe

always wear sunscreen w/ an spf of at least 15.

if you just want to even-out your skin tone, you can use a self-tanner. i like clarins and lancome. they don't look fake nor orange.

you need to wear a sunblock with UVA ingredients protection with a hat and long sleeve.

For that protection you have to check the active ingredient list to see if either zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, avobenzone (which may also be listed as Parsol 1789 or butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane), Mexoryl SX, or Tinosorb (Mexoryl SX and Tinosorb are only available in products sold outside the US). If one of those isn't part of the active ingredient list (it doesn't count if it is just part of the regular or "other" ingredients) you are not applying adequate UVA protection and that is dangerous for your skin.

YOU must do that coz you are staying out in the sun that long.

Seek for a shade, or creat your own shade.

It is not a good idea to ligtening up your skin at the same time while you are staying under the sun that long every day.

Wear a good sunbock SPF 30 and over
Wear a long sleave
Wear a Big hat
re-apply sunblock frequently about every 2 hours.

Select shaded areas for outdoor activities

Wear a broad-brimmed hat and clothing with a tight weave, including a long-sleeved shirt, long pants and gloves, if you have to spend long periods in the sun
If you can't cover up, use a sunscreen lotion with a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of at least 15. Make sure it has both UVA and UVB protection. Apply liberally to exposed sites 15 to 30 minutes before going out in the sun, followed by re-application to exposed sites 15 to 30 minutes after sun exposure begins. Further application is necessary after vigorous activity that could remove the product, such as swimming, toweling or excessive sweating and rubbing
Avoid overexposing yourself to the sun without protection, especially between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. during the summer months ( if you can not avoid then better cover up your body a bit)
Avoid using sunlamps
Be aware that certain medications, such as tetracycline, can make your skin more sensitive to UV rays, consult your doctor if you have questions about your medication

Please try sit under the darker shade

that are my best advices

to even it out i'd say put a lot of sunblock on the tanned parts and little to none on the lighter areas. thats what i plan to do the next time i hit the beach. spf 30 on the tanned and none on the light =p

@Jasel- hey man what Pool/beach u work at?

that is why people put a water ressitant and water proof sunblock.

but if you don't reapply your sunblock very often every 1 or 2 hours. No wonder you got sunburn or sun tan. coz you didn't follow the rules.

you got to follow it step correctly.

plus you need to use the right sunblock with the either zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, avobenzone (which may also be listed as Parsol 1789 or butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane), Mexoryl SX, or Tinosorb (Mexoryl SX and Tinosorb are only available in products sold outside the US). if you follow none of these rules, then you are in dangerous
