there's alot of ways to do this. Get a jumper cable, connect it to your battery, and connect the other side to another car's battery with that car on, and try startin' yo $hit.

I saw this dude with his car fixed up like the real 86 like this parking at the street.

It's not 100% the same, you can see this AE has a sunroof.

those 86's are overrated. If it were me, i'd just simply get a 91-93 240sx. but if you really want them, my advice is to source out a GT-S shell, yes, GT-S... not SR5, and get a high compression 4age top.... yeah, the small port ones. whatever you do, don't get the sr5. Everything about it is different. even if you want to make it into a gts, it's going to be hard. you'll have to switch out the engine harness.. converting it into fuel injected stuff, get a new diff, new suspension, rear disc break, etc.
Yeah, If I gonna get a car like this. It's gonna cost alot. enough for me to buy a brand new fine car!!

an 86 with drop in coilovers handle VERY good, so whoever told you it's a hard car to drift in real life is smoking crack. unless they're talking about it being bone stock, which handles like $hit.
