So do you believe in ghosts? Have you seen one? Whats your story? eek.gif

Japanese Soldier's Ghost
by Albert F.

I'm in the Air Force and when I was stationed at Clark Air Base, Philippines, I experienced what seemed to be an encounter with a ghost. I worked as a Security Police assigned to Mounted Patrol (Horse Patrol). The entire base is huge and most of the grounds are not accessible to vehicles or foot patrols. Mounted Patrol fit the void in harsh jungle areas that were hard to access but needed patrolling. As you know, during World War II there were many fierce battles fought on the base. Americans, Filipinos and the Japanese carried many stories covering the battles, and heavy death tolls resulting in the carnage.

One night I was patrolling (alone) a section of weapons storage area and I noticed in the shadows by a utility pole a human-like figure standing by the pole. Since it was the middle of the night and everyone had gone home from work, I knew the only people that could be in the area were other Security Policemen. I called on the radio to the dispatch desk to ascertain if there were any foot patrols in the area. They said none - I was the only one in the area. I called back and announced I have an intruder in the area. I started to move on the intruder (remember I'm on a full size American Quarter horse and the intruder is on foot). We have what is called a signal flare (white phosphorous signal flare). It's used to light up an entire city block for about 20-30 seconds to aide us in evaluating the situation and guide us to our target. When I yelled out for the intruder to stop, the person came out entirely from the side of the utility pole and started heading away from me, not really running, but he seemed to be floating away from me. I thought it was just the shadows and the distance between us to give me a clear outline of the person. I called the desk and told them I was giving chase. I started galloping toward the intruder's position (100 yards away). I was traveling almost 20-25 miles an hour on horseback and I wasn't gaining any ground. This particular area was over open manicured grass without any obstructions. I decided to shoot up a signal flare to get a direction of the intruder's position. As I was about to send the signal flare up, the person disappeared. I stopped and shot the flare anyways. When the flare erupted and the whole area was illuminated, I saw nothing but open field. The person just disappeared. The desk was calling me on the radio, asking for status. I didn't know what to tell them. One minute I'm in pursuit and the next the intruder vanishes. I left the area and explained on the telephone what had happened.

I talked to other guards and they have seen and heard similar stories of seeing Japanese soldiers in the area. Some have been known to call out to tower guards and the guard would look down and not see a soul. Everyone said I saw a ghost. To this day I know what I saw, but I could not explain what happened.

One of my friends use to rent a flat/appartment where there is a reported ghost iin the room across from him. They said a girl there killed herself back long ago. No one is allowed to rent the room. Its only used as a storage room by the owners. But reportedly upstairs neighbour have heard crying or moaning noise from that room. Its very scary how my friend discribes it. My friend isnt affraid of it. He prays to a devine Buddhist Godess picture every night. He thinks the ghost may be protecting him. But I told him its not good to deal with such things. He's constantly have bad luck and I think the ghost is deliberatly holding him back. Weird huh?

I think they talk about Dokkebi Doro in Jejudo. I've been there when i was in jejudo. but not at night. I heard its pretty strange.

Also i did hear that jejudo has a lot of ghosts and crap cuz i heard that islands tend to have more ghost type stuff going on because ghosts cant really cross the ocean or something.

I did hear some freaky stories of jejudo

i heard theres like a lot of haunted buildings and houses and areas and schools in korea which are abandoned. And i like it when they do like shows and investigate the place. I've seen one long time ago, where they investigate this one haunted house. It was the freakiest $hit. and they even bring some celebrities and its funny cuz theyre just scared $hitless.

Serious dude?! eek.gif Did you live in a haunted house?
I remember this haunted house near where I use to live when was a kid. Everyone who bought the house quickly moved out afterwards. Nobody wanted it for long. At night they say you can hear dishes breaking and stuff. One day I and some friends going to the park saw some classmate who recently moved in. We told him it was haunted but he didnt believe us. Later he admitted strange things started to happen and became a believer. One day we saw his mom outdoors sitting out on the porch waivng in the air around their baby kid like if she was trying to push something away from him that was invisible. It creeped us all out. WE just crossed over the other side of the street. We didnt want to wallk anywhere near that house. That house is very creepy looking as is because it looks like it had a face on it like that horror movie 'Admityville'.

i dont know if my house was haunted. but i do know my house is about 90 years old. its extremely old. I only saw ghosts when i was in the 5th grade. Right after i was done with 5th grade, strangely i never ghosts again. It almost felt like a certain time period was set up or something. I was never a believer til i saw my first ghost though.

Have you read the book? It is so scary.. Let me tell you a scary book can be more frightening than a movie esp. if it's based on a true story.

Making mysterious faces appear in photographs is an old parlor trick. I watched the Amazing Randi do it on some TV show. He took a photograph of some people in the audience. He then said he would make the face of an Asian child appear in the photo. The photo was one of those cheapie things that develop right there and then on the spot. Sure enough, the face of an Asian child who was not standing among the group Randi had photographed could clearly be seen among them. Without Randi stating he would do it and demonstrating total control over it, I suppose a lot of people would have been convinced by it. But he says it's a simple trick.

I use to hear things when I was young eventhough Im all alone in the house. I could hear someone taking a shower and flushing the toilet. But I just ignored them.
Ive seen a lantern floating and passing by just a few meters away from me when I was in an Island and still ignore it.
Until now I try to ignore things which actually happened and have seen it with my eyes but still I am convinced that it was nothing.I dont want to say I dont believe in them and I dont want to say I believe in them either.Maybe just to make things easier for me..

Lol this remind me when i was cooking food. Suddenly my food bowl started to move and i was like wtf. It started to move by itself and it looked like it was floating . I was like holy $hit.
After maybe 10 cm it stopped and i was like wtf just happened, so i took the bowl and saw some water stains under it. So i started to but the bowl in the same position as it was before and it moved again. So it was just water under it that made it glide and because it was so close to the cooking heat it made the water more flexible and moved it beside the bowl and made it move.
Everything can be explained somehow.
