P.S. Gantz has one of the best storylines I've seen in an anime, but I wouldn't really consider it a hentai anime.

Some Hentai is very good in the story department and sex scenes, but the hardcore territory that includes bondage, incest, rape, tentacles and all of that weird crap is a major turn-off. Well, if they keep the tentacles to a minimum like they did in Beat Angel Escalayer, then I can tolerate it. Otherwise, any excessive content including the aforementioned keywords are tasteless.

While there are quite a lot of hentai that are truly disturbing (with rape, S&M, tentacles, beastiality, and what not), there are also a handful of hentai with truly great storylines to them. The best hentai games usually get adapted into non-hentai anime and end up becoming big hits, like Air, Fate/Stay Night, Kanon, Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, School Days, Shuffle, Utawaremono, Yoake Mae Yori Ruri Iro Na, etc.
