I was born in a christian family..so when we were young my parents said that our minister at church said that we were not allowed to participate in any halloween activities. I remember my sisters and I would only be allowed to look out the window at all the other kids go trick or treat. Then i remember when i was about 12 my parents decided to let us go but bu then i was already getting old LOLZ. Just wondering for those of u who are christian, if u know that this is true or not? I am not sure if the minister knew what he was talking about.
Halloween is a pagan festival, it's still celebrated in Mexico as closer to its original form....previously it was known as "all souls night"....all souls day is Nov 1 (in Mexico), its a festival which dates from the middle ages when the barrier's between the world of the dead and the world of the living are the weakest...... which is where the skeletons etc come from.
I know some "christian" groups (Jehovah's witnesses for example) consider the night a bad thing...interesting that the "jack o'lantern" is supposed to be a representation of the "damned soul" and were cut in the faces of demons to frighten away evil spirits...
