Sexy stand-up comic,TV host and lingerie shop owner Ethel Booba has dropped out of the lineup of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition housemates, after realizing that she is psychologically and emotionally unfit to stay inside the PBB House.
DZMM’s celebrity correspondent Laila Chikadora gave a report saying Booba made a last minute decision and refused to go with the PBB staff last Friday (October 12). The reason: she couldn't bear to stay in the house for months away from her boyfriend.
The report also said that Booba made up her mind to drop out the PBB celebrity housemate lineup because the prospect of being away from her boyfriend triggered a "nervous breakdown".
In her DZMM program, "Mismo", showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin expressed shocked upon reading the report that Booba had backed out from PBB’s Celebrity Edition 2.
Fermin and Jobert Zucaldito were having a discussion about the new celebrity housemates the report was handed to them.
Both expressed disappointment, saying Booba would have made life inside the PBB House more exciting and interesting, much like what sexy star Keanna Reeves in the first season of PBB Celebrity Edition.
Reeves eventually emerged as the Big Winner in that PBB season, besting her celebrity housemates.
“So nagback-out si Ethel? Siya pa naman ang magiging buhay sa loob… sayang. Dapat sana ay mayroon pang katulad ni Keanna kung nandoon si Ethel kumpleto na ang buto-buto lagi sigurong nasa confession room iyan,” Fermin said.
On Monday night four of the remaining housemates will enter the PBB House during Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2, "UBER!” to be hosted by Mariel Rodriguez and Bianca Gonzalez.
The PBB production has already annouced that the remaining housemates include a controversial beauty queen, an ultimate crush, a musikerong daddy and an extreme sports lover.
The 4th Celebrity Big Placer and his/her chosen charity will each win P200,000 while the 3rd Big Placer and partner charity will receive P300,000 each.
The 2nd Big Placer and his/her charity will both win 500,000 while the Big Winner and his or her chosen charity will each rake in a whooping P1,000,000.
