in my country the fastfood and restaurant chains serve rice meals,well other countries like japan rice meals served in fastfood and restaurant chains are getting lesser.

East Asians get that comforting "itis"-like feeling from all the simple carbohydrates in white rice, but just because it makes them feel so good and well doesn't mean it's the healthiest cereal grain for them.

If they changed their primary source of carbs from rice to something like steel cut oats, they'd be much, much (almost ridiculously) healthier in every way. Although yeah, they wouldn't get their comforting 'rice itis.' :/
