Well, out of airlines that I trust, I'd say the cheapest BY FAR is Philippine Airlines...

You could fly from San Francisco and the cost of a round trip ticket would be just over $800... $950 if you inclued taxes and stuff.

PAL = expect delays and "problems with the plane"

Consider yourself lucky. Toronto to Manila is OMGSOEXPENSIVE. $2000 @__@

not always... I've experienced problems with other airlines as well, it's not only PAL... I had a flight delayed from Las Vegas to REno for 4 hours. I could have drove in that time and arrive earlier.

I think he's from Australia. Take Cathay Pacific, Silk Airlines, or JAL. those are the best. Maybe Cebu Pacific - it's okay, better than PAL.

I took China Airlines, Philippine Airlines, and American Airlines to the Philippines before. They were all good, but if you go Chine Airlines, you won't get good service from the stewardesses because they all speak Mandarin and those that speak English you can hardly understand them.

lol and stay away from metro manila...
nyahahahahahahhaah

You cant find any price like that here if you are coming from north america. So im guessing you live really close to the philippines to get a price like that.

One of my friends actually got me planning the trip to the Philippines. dude is 1/2 white, 1/2 filipino but knows nothing about his culture, people or language. embarassedlaugh.gif So we talked him into visiting his homeland. why travel halfway around the world just to shop, club and eat? you can totally do that in florida keys or hawaii and you'd save yourself a couple thousand bucks. and you said u got a half and half filipino-american friend who doesnt know anything about the philippines culturally. dude if i where u, i'd drop the bourgeois hotel-service-me attitude and hit on the dirt road. the real fun in our country are not on the tourist brochures. you'd be surprised. experience the philippines meaningfully.

hmm...yes i agree with you, while id like to explore the country, go hiking and what not, the females coming along really hate bugs, jungles and other things SEA countries have. if they knew there were bombings in the Philippines they would probably cancel the trip. icon_sad.gif
