uh for developed countries you calculate PPP. It more accurately describes the standard of living.

This is one of the reasons why most people do not use PPP for China, because it is still a 3rd world country.

One of the major factors that is governing the US's attitude versus China is the real per capita which is around 3,000 per person. If you use PPP then you use US prices against chinese goods which are inferior and hence an inflated value.

Have you no common sense? Just because you're the 13th largest economy doesn't mean you're the 13th wealthiest. China is the 3rd largest economy, but the size of it's economy is slightly larget than Germany who has a population of 80M, and England, France, and Italy who have populations of about 60M. So clearly when you're a nation of 1.3B sharing the same wealth of nations who have populations close to 60M, you are not as wealthy as them. In China's case, you are vey poor.
