It means pig. I don't think calling someone baboy is cute, you probably mean "chabuy" or something which means chubby-cute.
In Cebuano calling someone baboy is an insult, ej: "Oy baboy! Ayaw ug anhi dinhi kay gihikan ka sa imong bay nga 'pigpen'*"
Translation: Hey you pig! Don't come here because your from your house that's a pigsty.
* I forget how to say pigsty/pigpen in Cebuano.

It depends on the way she called you..if she has a nice and light tone to it, then it's a way of having a liking to your chubby(piggy?) appearance and you are cute to her. Also, if she said it in a serious manner, then you're a greedy person.

^^ It's really different here though. Call someone a baboy and you'll end up laughing at each other - if you're close to each other. It's because of the cultural difference we as a people have.

Kababoy - a really fat person who eats like a gigantic pig.
Cebuano's are known to be really good at insulting people. Well that's the case with all the girls in my family, they can yell at someone with pretty disgusting and funny things like comparing a face of a man to a toilet.

Wait a minute...
Why is the title addressing Filipinos called flip? I really feel insulted to be called a Flip...It's sounds so stupid and if you live here, you'd not want to be called that. I'd rather have us named Pinoy because we made that name and not some American who thinks they can call us no matter what they want and get away with it.

They spell Filipino as "Philippino"? That's a bit awkward, probably only in America they use that becuase in Philippines they only thought us Filipino or Pilipino. But today it's officially spelled Filipino and Pilipinas is spelled Filipinas because Philippine orthography accepts Spanish spelling for Spanish origin words now. Example: teléfono, común, brillante, bajo, etc.
I feel like the Filipinos in Philippines are preserving their culture as Asian or Hispanic while the Fil-Ams are making it look like there Pacific Islanders or more "American". I mean our culture is Hispanic and Asian, so I think there denying it!

Baboy literally means "pig." However it is also being used to describe a person i.e. fat person (since baboy or pig has full of fat).
Anyways, the term "FLIP" was coined by American soldiers. When they are fighting the Filipinos during Philippine-American War, their commander would say "go after those fu**ing little island people" or the soldiers would say "I hate this place, and I hate these "fu**ing little island people".
The term was used also when the Americans was came to liberate the Philippines. Some say "You gotta respect these fu**ing little island people because they can fight." I believe they also use the term FLIP, when they are fighting the Japanese.

its from the Samar battle...its when the Marines couldn't defeat the Filipinos there. the "leather neck" was coined in that battle when there heads would get cut off in battle. so Marines who were scared wrapped their necks before going into battle. so for decades in the Marines if you where called a "leather neck" you where a technicality a pussy. and this is where
FLIP was coined to and not WW2.
