Are you in favor of having Spanish language once again the schools in the Philippines ?
P. Bredahl
No.
Its time to be productive and stop wasting time.
English is enough. If any new language is should be Chinese...
main trading partners is US, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Holland...
The only reason as i see it would be to fullfill that empty space of wanting to be european.
If Filipinos want to learn spanish they can go take courses.

In some way, I want it to be. But PLEASE, JUST COMBINE THIS WITH THE OTHER SPANISH THREADS! THIS IS OVER REDUNDANT AND NOT NEEDED.
speedy_gonzalez
I WOULD WANT THAT

BUT CONSIDERING and looking into the bigger picture
I'm pretty much sure the majority of the FILIPINOS will find it hard to learn spanish

anyways
there's this proposal to our school that spanish to be integrated into all the
student's curriculums...

as school is concerend I'm all for it...
but for all of filipinos to learn spanish mmmmmmmm
NOT SURE....

Why must we have so many Spanish threads? This should have been combined within the other Spanish thread.
Spanish in Philippine schools should just be an elective, not required. Let it be available to all but don't force it down other people who want to learn other languages.
If anything, we should be learning our dialects first to preserve it and then give choices as to what foreign language one wants to learn, like Chinese, Japanese, Korean, French or Spanish.
It would be more beneficial and constructive if we took into account that 'one size does not fit all', not all of us are into learning Spanish to learn about our past or aspire to be call center operators, some of us want to look into the future to find more opportunistic ways to expand our options and forcing a curriculum down people's throat by making Spanish mandatory in our schools adds another burden to our already overcrowded and underfinanced education system.

Why did you have to open another thread on Spanish when you could have just posted this question on the existing Spanish thread? confused.gif

It's causing some stir in my campus

decision will probably be decided next year about the said proposal...

Im ok with that being implemented though

and did I mention our school
is owned by the Spanish Recollects
since its a SECTARIAN SCHOOL

It was just a few years ago that they
gave it to the Filipino Recollects

though our school still has connection to the
Spanish Recollects
